It takes about two and a half hours to go from Tokyo to Kanazawa on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
After arriving at the Kanazawa Station, take a look at the Hospitality Dome at the Kenrokuen exit. Omicho Market is a gourmet area that can be reached by bus or on foot. There are about 170 shops selling fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, and other items. After walking for another 5 minutes, you will arrive at the Nagamachi Samurai Residence Ruins area. It's a sight to see the old-fashioned earthen walls and cobblestone alleys.
After passing through Korinbo and walking for about 10 minutes, you will arrive at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, where you can appreciate contemporary art. The swimming pool, where people from both sides of the pool meet, is a sight to behold.
