The Yokohama Bay Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that is 860 meters long and connects two artificial islands used for port activities. Since 1989, it has been a symbol of Yokohama, being visible from different points of the city, particularly when it is illuminated in the evening.

Motor vehicles are the only ones allowed to use transit, but you can also take a close-up view of the bridge from a 360-degree observatory located just below the bridge's street level on the north side.

In southern Yokohama, there is a large Japanese-style garden called Sankeien that showcases a variety of historic buildings from across Japan. Hara Sankei was responsible for building the garden and it was opened to the public in 1904.

The park showcases historical buildings including an exquisite daimyo residence, multiple tea houses, and the main hall and three-story pagoda of Kyoto's old Tomyoji Temple.

Yokohama Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in Japan, situated in central Yokohama. Chinatown's narrow and colorful streets are filled with many Chinese stores and restaurants.

Various events and festivals, such as Chinese New Year, are also held in Chinatown at the beginning of February. Four colorful gates stand at the entrances to Chinatown, and five more gates can be found within. The Kanteibyo is a gaudily colored temple in the center of Chinatown.

At the colorful and gorgeous 'Hiru Gozen', you can enjoy small portions of Manchinro's delicious dishes. The 'Noodles and Rice Lunch' is a good option for those looking for good value for money, but it is only available on weekdays.

Minato Mirai 21 is a seaside urban area in central Yokohama whose name means 'harbour of the future'. It has many large high-rise buildings, including the Landmark Tower, which was Japan's tallest building from 1993 until 2014. Up until the 1980s, the area was a large shipyard, but then it was transformed into a new city center.

Minato Mirai has a great location along the water and offers many attractions.
