Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park is a significant landmark in the city. It's likely that even visitors who aren't looking for it will come across the huge park that measures more than 120,000 square meters. Its trees, lawns, and walking paths are starkly contrasted to the surrounding downtown area.
Peace Memorial Museum is the main attraction of the park. The museum is made up of two buildings and covers the history of Hiroshima and the beginning of the nuclear bomb.
In the park, there is a ceremony every year on the anniversary of the bombing. Wreaths are laid at the Cenotaph, and a moment of silence is observed at 8:15 am, marking the exact moment of the explosion.

Ferry Ride to Miyajima
This eco-friendly Ferry will take you from Hiroshima to Miyajima Island in 10 minutes. The interior of the ferry is clean and well maintained, and it is also wheelchair accessible. There is a panorama deck on the ferry where you can take great picture of the torii gate.

Miyajima
Miyajima is a small island located less than an hour away from Hiroshima. The Torii gate, which appears to float on the water at high tide, is its most well-known feature. The site is considered one of Japan's three best views.
Itsukushima is the official name of the island, but it is commonly known as Miyajima, which means'shrine island' in Japanese. The island's close connection to its main shrine, Itsukushima Shrine, is the reason for this. The shrine's main buildings are constructed on water, just like the Torii gate.
To get the most enjoyment out of Miyajima, it is best to spend the night in one of the island's ryokans. The area becomes more peaceful and quiet in the evening.
