Fushimi Inari Shrine
Fushimi Inari Shrine is a significant Shinto shrine situated in the southern part of Kyoto. The main buildings are known for their thousands of vermilion Torii gates that straddle a network of trails. The trails connect to the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which has a height of 233 meters and is part of the shrine grounds.
Fushimi Inari stands out among the numerous shrines dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. Many fox statues are scattered across the shrine grounds because it is believed that foxes are Inari's messengers. The origins of Fushimi Inari Shrine are ancient, dating back to before the capital moved to Kyoto in 794.

Kinkakuji Temple
Kinkakuji, also known as Golden Pavilion, is a Zen temple in northern Kyoto that is fully covered in gold leaf on its top two floors.
Kinkakuji is a stunning building that overlooks a vast pond, and is the only building remaining from Yoshimitsu's former retirement complex. Twice during the Onin War, a civil war that destroyed much of Kyoto, and again more recently in 1950 when it was set on fire by a fanatical monk, it has experienced several fires throughout its history. In 1955, the present structure was rebuilt.
Kinkakuji was designed to evoke the luxurious Kitayama culture that flourished in the rich aristocratic circles of Kyoto during Yoshimitsu's era. The architecture on each floor is unique.

Sanjusangendo
The temple Rengeo-in, in eastern Kyoto, is called Sanjusangendo due to the 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, which are famous for their popularity. After its original structure was destroyed in a fire, the temple was established in 1164 and rebuilt a century later.
Japan's longest wooden structure is the temple hall, which measures 120 meters. The traditional method of measuring the size of a building is based on the number of intervals between the support columns, which is the name Sanjusangendo.

Kiyomizu Temple
Kiyomizudera is a temple that is revered highly in Japan. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Ottawa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto and takes its name from the waters of the waterfall.
Kiyomizudera is famous for its wooden stage that stretches beyond its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside. From the stage, you can see the many cherry and maple trees below, which explode in color during spring and fall, as well as Kyoto in the distance.
Special evening illuminations are held by Kiyomizudera during the cherry blossom and autumn leaf seasons in late March and early April, as well as during Obon in mid August.
