Osaka Castle
In 1583, the construction of Osaka Castle was initiated on the former location of the Ishiyama Honganji Temple, which was destroyed by Oda Nobunaga 13 years earlier. Toyotomi Hideyoshi had a plan to transform the castle into the centre of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule
The castle tower's current ferro-concrete reconstruction was not built until 1931. During the war, it miraculously survived the citywide air raids.
In 1997, the castle gained new glamor through major repair works. Inside the castle tower, it is now completely modern and has an elevator for easier accessibility. An informative museum about the history of the castle and Toyotomi Hideyoshi is located inside.

Dotonbori
Running parallel to the Dotonbori canal, this street is among the most popular tourist destinations in Osaka. It is a well-known shopping and entertainment district, as well as a food destination.
The nighttime illumination is provided by numerous neon lights and mechanized signs, which include the renowned Glico Running Man and Kani Doraku crab. Dotonbori is famous for its eye-catching signage and billboards with a giant pufferfish, an octopus, a clown, the Kani Douraku crab .There are all vying for your attention and creating an amusement park-like atmosphere.
The obsession with food in Osaka can be summarized by the phrase 'Kuidaore', which means 'eat till you drop'. In fact, it means spending so much on food that you end up in financial ruin! Dotonbori is said to be the best place in Osaka to experience this Kuidaore style extreme love of food!

Shitennoji Temple
Shitennoji is an ancient temple in Japan and the first temple constructed by the state. In 593, Prince Shotoku started it and supported the introduction of Buddhism into Japan.
Even though the temple buildings have burned down several times in the centuries, they have always been meticulously rebuilt to reflect the original design of the 6th century.
The outer temple grounds are accessible without charge, but you must pay for entrance to the inner precinct, the Gokuraku-Jodo Garden, and the treasure house. Inside the inner precinct, there is a five-story pagoda that can be entered and ascended, and the Main Hall, where Prince Shotoku is buried as a Kannon statue.
The Gokuraku-Jodo Garden, located nearby, was created using descriptions of Amida Buddha's Western Paradise. On the temple grounds, there is a treasure house that exhibits paintings, scriptures, and other valuable belongings of the temple in regular, themed exhibitions.

Floating Garden Observatory
The Umeda Sky Building is a spectacular high-rise building in the Kita district of Osaka, located near Osaka and Umeda stations.
The 'Floating Garden Observatory' on the 39th floor connects the two towers of the 173-meter tall building. Views of the city are fantastic from the observatory's windows and open-air deck. A restaurant floor in the basement recreates a town from the early Showa Period, while most other floors are used for offices.
A café named Sky 40 is located immediately below the Sky Walk on the 40th floor. Taking a break while enjoying the view is possible at this location, which offers creamy lattes, fruit sodas, sweet tarts, and ice cream.
